Carnivores reveal themselves in patterns—shade, scent, and path.

Mini-Route (90 Minutes)

  1. Bears (cool hours) → watch shade lines and logs.
  2. Tigers (enrichment window) → arrive 10 minutes early.
  3. Sea Lion Pool → dynamic finish with predictable bursts.

Time of Day vs Behavior

Time Bears Tigers
Morning Forage, patrol Patrol, scent-mark
Mid-day Rest, occasional reposition Rest, shade-seeking
Late-day Movement resumes Stretches, brief activity

Tip: Move slow; let behavior come to you.

Camera Settings

  • Favor higher shutter; let ISO climb a bit.
  • Use continuous AF for walking sequences.
  • Shoot sequences; pick the cleanest frame later.

Bottom Line

This mini-route compresses high-behavior windows into 90 minutes.
